Apache president and CEO, Tom Pientok, has now assumed a new leadership role as president of NIBA, The Belting Association.

In this role, Mr. Pientok presides over board and committee meetings throughout the year and the next annual convention. A long-time member of NIBA, Tom first served a three-year term on the membership committee beginning in 2007, he then chaired the committee from 2010 to 2012. He has assumed additional leadership roles with the organization as well: treasurer (2013), program chair (2014), and first vice president (2015).

“It’s my honor to have this opportunity to help shape the future of our industry,” Pientok says. “The NIBA organization has a long history of raising member awareness of industry trends, product advancements, and best practices.”

Pientok will host the association’s summer board meeting in Cedar Rapids in June, and will preside over events at the annual convention in September 2016, which will be held in Indianapolis. He will serve as president until 2017, when he will continue to provide leadership to the board as the group’s past president.

NIBA works to further the interests of all fabricators, distributors, and manufacturers of belting and related products. Two other Apache team members are contributing to the efforts of the group: Gregg Hanson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, serves on the NIBA marketing committee; and Steve Fournier, Director of Strategic Accounts, serves on the NIBA education and technical committee. Each will fulfill a three-year term in his respective role.
