The award was presented at the company’s State of Apache meeting in late January by the Iowa Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense office. Apache employee Steve German, who serves in the National Guard and Reserve, nominated Gingrich for the award.
“I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the employee-owners of Apache,” said Gingrich. “Apache is proud to support the efforts of dedicated individuals like Steve who work to preserve the strength and readiness of our country, even as they balance their commitments to home and workplace.”
Apache has long supported employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve, providing flexibility in scheduling and work duties to accommodate the training and deployment responsibilities.
“As an employee-owned company, Apache takes care of our own,” added Gingrich. “We’re invested in each other, and we do what we can to help everyone succeed, both at work and in the community.”
The ESGR seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve. The Patriot Award was created to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding support and cooperation to their employees who serve in the military. Visit www.ESGR.mil for more information.
